Farmers Market Bag

I call this a Farmers Market Bag though the original pattern Is called “Elisa’s nesting  tote”, and can be found online.   I was looking for a pattern for a bag using kitchen cotton type yarn, and was happy to stumble upon this one. 

What I loved about this pattern is that it uses an attached i-cord, which was something I wanted to learn.  You pick up stitches, while creating the i-cord.

The body of the bag reminds me of a fishermans net, and  the bag stretches when filled, so you can put more in it than you think.

I made one bag for me,  and made a second one for my friend Cindy  (for her birthday) using 100% cotton natural color.

 I intend to make the next one out of dark chocolate brown cotton.
